The concept of Home Staging

The concept of Home Staging is a set of techniques that enhance a home and give it a more attractive appearance for potential buyers. Home Staging literally means “staging the house.” These techniques were developed in the United States about thirty years ago and are being applied in Europe in countries such as the United Kingdom, Sweden, and France. 

The goal is to prepare a home so that it sells faster and at the highest price. Specifically, Home Staging consists of: 

• Depersonalize.                              
• Sort.                                   
• Clear. 

• Clean. 
• Repair and paint. 
• Organize the space. 

The work of the Home Stager consists of using these techniques to highlight the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of your property. Therefore, it is not about hiding the defects, but fixing them. It is also not about decorating the house, as decoration is something subjective and very personal.  In the case of Home Staging, the goal is to turn the home into a neutral and welcoming place where most visitors feel comfortable and attracted by the possibility of living in it.
